Limelight IPL (intense pulsed light therapy) combats age spots, skin redness, tiny veins and sun damage to help rejuvenate your skin and leave you with a radiant complexion.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy, or Limelight IPL, is a medical-grade skin rejuvenation treatment that uses non-invasive light-based technology to reduce the appearance of pigmentation, small veins, age spots and sun damage. Evening the skin tone and firming the tissue’s texture, Limelight IPL restores skin to its former youthful glory, leaving you with clear and radiant complexion results. Our specialist technology is safer and more comfortable than other laser systems on the market, offering a cooling sensation alongside powerful anti-aging effects.
During the treatment, concentrated pulses of light from our highly advanced laser systems are used to target specific problem areas, to stimulate your natural production of collagen and elastin to firm, tone, and plump up the skin from it’s basal layers. Within three weeks, your complexion and pigmentation issues should be noticeably improved, as the new tissue establishes itself at the treatment site.
1 to 3 treatments are usually needed for optimum results, but each case is different. You should be able to see results one month after your treatment, but we will happily re-evaluate your treatment plan to make sure you’re on the right track. While this treatment works wonders on those with lighter skin types, your initial consultation with Dr Julia Sevi’s team will help guide you in the right direction to achieve your desired results. At Aesthetic Health, we are confident in our ability to provide exceptional rejuvenating outcomes, priding ourselves on customising each treatment to suit each individual client. At our initial consultation, we can determine which laser wavelengths and devices to use to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.
This procedure is designed to be used on any part of your face, neck and décolletage where you may suffer from skin redness or brown spots.
By customising your treatment to your skin type we can treat specific issues, by heating the pigmented brown or red cells using accurately targeted laser energy.
Patients experience a mild pinching sensation. Gel and ice are used to cool the skin before and after each laser shot to improve comfort. Treatment should take less than one hour.
One to three treatments, a month apart, should be sufficient for results to show, however certain conditions, such as rosacea, may require more.
Within three weeks, the darkened spots flake off and fade while redness and mottled complexion will be noticeably improved.
During the treatment our experienced Practitioner will customise the Limelight to your skin type and areas of concern. A pulse of light is then delivered to the area to be treated which may cause a mild pinching sensation. The heating of the pigmented skin often creates a therapeutic effect. One to three treatments are usually required for the optimum result.
Immediately after the treatment brown spots will start to darken and your skin may appear slightly red. This will only last for a few hours and make up can be applied.
Within one to three weeks the darkened spots will flake off and fade, redness will fade and your mottled complexion will improve. Maintenance is not generally required, although Rosacea may need ongoing treatment. Successfully treated brown spots, veins and redness will not return, however new ones can develop with new sun damage, so application of a broad spectrum sunscreen is recommended.
Limelight is safer and more comfortable than many pulsed light devices because the tip that produces the light is cooled for comfort.
