Ultherapy utilises ultrasound waves to penetrate deep into the middle layers of skin tissue to stimulate collagen production and encourage regeneration. By using controlled heat energy at optimal depths below the skin, Ultherapy effectively initiates your body’s natural response to strengthen weakened tissue without damaging the skin’s surface.
Affecting layers of tissue this deeply has previously only been performed by surgeons through invasive surgical techniques, but due to Dr Julia Sevi’s extensive research and experience and the use of Ultrasound imaging, this non-invasive Ultherapy treatment is just as effective as other more invasive methods, without the painful risks.
Ultherapy is excellent for smoothing areas of cellulite and strengthening areas of low collagen levels, such as the legs, buttocks and arms. You’ll be able to see an improvement in your skin tone after only 3 weeks, and a complete transformation of your skin’s elasticity at 6 months post-treatment, with results being very long-lasting. The procedure lasts 1 hour 30, but with no invasive methods used, there’s no need for recovery time.
Ultherapy can also be used to tone and smooth the face and neck area.
Ultherapy can ultimately be used anywhere on the body and is particularly effective in lifting, toning and tightening the neck, improving lines and wrinkles on the décolletage, lifting and tightening arms, buttocks and knees.
Ultrasound energy is used to initiate the body’s natural response to stimulate the growth of fresh, new collagen. The treatment is designed to achieve a fresher, more youthful look by specifically targeting problem areas.
The 30-90 minute procedure can produce sensations ranging from a hot stone massage to nipping or prickling like plucking your eyebrows.
Because Ultherapy is a non-invasive treatment, patients won’t need any recovery or downtime. In fact, you can resume normal activities immediately without having to follow any special post-procedure measures.
In a few patients, results can be seen in as little as 14 days, but for the majority the benefits will be evident from about three months, as new collagen builds, gradually lifting, tightening and smoothing the skin. This will continue to develop over the year following treatment.
Unlike lasers, radio frequency and other technologies, Ultherapy bypasses the surface of the skin to deliver energy at optimal depths, temperature and precision. Also unique to Ultherapy is the use of ultrasound imaging which allows Dr Sevi to see the layers of tissue being treated, ensuring energy is delivered safely and to where it will be most beneficial.
As the ultrasound energy is delivered you will feel tiny amounts of energy being deposited to precise depths, indicating that the collagen-building process has been initiated.

Some patients see an initial effect right after their treatment but the full results appear over two to three months as new collagen builds, gradually lifting, tightening and smoothing the skin.
The length of an Ultherapy treatment will depend on the areas treated and the bespoke treatment plan as discussed with Dr Sevi at your initial consultation.
Usually a face and neck procedure will take up to 90 minutes whilst a décolletage treatment will take around 30 minutes.
Comfort levels vary from person to person but the sensation only lasts while the ultrasound energy is being delivered.
