Aesthetic Health has long been known for its diagnostic-led, regenerative philosophy, a way of practising medicine that goes beyond treating lines or restoring volume. Every treatment is designed to improve long-term skin health, function, and balance.
This year, Dr Julia Sevi and Clinic Operations Director Julie Hayden-Baker have launched a new initiative to share that philosophy with the next generation of doctors, the Aesthetic Health Doctor Mentorship Programme.
In this exclusive Q&A, they discuss how the programme began, what makes it different, and why regenerative training represents the next evolution in aesthetic medicine.
Q: Dr Julia, what inspired you to start a formal mentorship programme at Aesthetic Health?
Dr Julia Sevi:
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching doctors internationally. It became increasingly clear that while aesthetic training is widely available in the UK, there are very few opportunities to truly understand and practise Regenerative Aesthetics.
Most practitioners learn to treat what they see, lines, folds, or shadows, but regenerative aesthetics asks why those changes are happening, and how we can help the skin and underlying tissues recover their natural function.
Our mentorship was born out of that need: to share the Aesthetic Health way of thinking, which is rooted in biology, diagnostics, and longevity, not trends or techniques.
We’ve also refined innovations such as Soundbite® and BioBlend®, both of which require a deep understanding of anatomy, tissue behaviour, and regenerative principles. These developments highlight why only medically trained doctors should deliver such advanced treatments, ensuring patients receive care based on safety, science, and precision.
Q: Julie, what led you to develop this programme operationally?
Julie Hayden-Baker:
When I joined Aesthetic Health, it was clear that its success came from Dr Julia’s distinctive methodology, something we couldn’t risk losing over time.
We needed protégés who could learn directly from her, absorbing not just technical skills but diagnostic reasoning and patient-centred philosophy.
The mentorship also provides a succession plan, ensuring Aesthetic Health continues to offer the same standard of regenerative care long into the future, led by doctors who truly understand this specialised approach.
Q: How does the Aesthetic Health mentorship differ from traditional aesthetic training?
Dr Julia Sevi:
Conventional aesthetic education often focuses on correction, smoothing or filling isolated features. Regenerative Aesthetics is about restoring vitality and biological function.
It’s understanding how tissue behaves, how to stimulate repair, and how to deliver results that evolve naturally over time.
Our mentee doctors, Dr Reem Koutaich and Dr Mobina Bohloli, are already qualified and experienced in aesthetics. They’ve joined us to deepen their practice through a regenerative lens, integrating diagnostics, skin health, and energy-based therapies with precision-placed injectables for truly personalised outcomes.
Q: Julie, what have you observed since the programme began?
Julie Hayden-Baker:
It’s been inspiring. The mentees are thriving, inquisitive, meticulous, and embracing the depth of understanding that regenerative medicine demands.
Operationally, it’s also helping us strengthen the clinic’s foundation with clear clinical pathways, structured documentation, and an evolving educational framework.
Our patients are already benefitting, and we’ve expanded appointment availability without compromising the gold-standard care Aesthetic Health is known for.
Q: Dr Julia, what does this mean for your patients and for the future of Aesthetic Health?
Dr Julia Sevi:
It means continuity. Patients can be confident that every doctor they see at Aesthetic Health practises the same regenerative philosophy and diagnostic process.
It also frees me to focus on complex combination cases and ongoing innovation, such as developing new treatment protocols and advancing the field of regenerative injectables.
Ultimately, the mentorship safeguards what Aesthetic Health stands for: integrity, compassion, and regeneration. These are the principles that will continue to guide our work for years to come.
Q: What has the Aesthetic Health Mentorship meant to you personally?
Dr Reem Koutaich:
Being part of the mentorship program at Aesthetic Health has been a life-changing opportunity. I’m so grateful to be on this team and to learn from Dr. Julia, an inspiring role model and leader in regenerative aesthetic medicine. The professionalism, clinical excellence, and support here are exactly what I was looking for. I’ve valued the structured guidance and constructive feedback, balanced with the freedom to learn at my own pace and refine my own techniques. I’m proud to share this passion and be part of the journey.
Dr Mobina Bohloli:
Mentorship has deepened my understanding of regenerative aesthetics and strengthened my commitment to safe, thoughtful practice. It’s shown me that true regeneration goes beyond technique – it’s about supporting the body’s natural ability to heal. The Aesthetic Health framework has guided me to deliver natural, patient-centred results with confidence.
Q: What’s next for the Doctor Mentorship Programme?
Julie Hayden-Baker:
We plan to develop more structured learning modules, observation days, and potential collaborations with academic institutions.
Our goal is to establish Aesthetic Health as a centre of excellence in Regenerative Aesthetics.
Regenerative aesthetics not only treats patients, but also helps to shape the future of the discipline itself.
Closing Reflection
The Aesthetic Health Doctor Mentorship Programme isn’t just a training pathway; it’s a legacy project. It represents the shift in aesthetic
Aesthetics from superficial correction to deep, biological repair.
Every mentee trained under this programme helps ensure that regenerative practice, rooted in science, precision, and compassion, continues to flourish for generations to come.
